It took more time than planned, but last weekend -just before the autumn holidays- Escaperoom Groenlo was festively reopened. The move from Beltrumsestraat 10 to number 4 has taken six months.
‘Yes, it took us a bit longer to adapt everything to this new building, but it has all been worth it, because it really has turned out beautifully,’ says Michaël Lammers. ‘Thanks to the staff who have worked really hard over the past few months to get everything ready’.
Whether the room will be playable again now that it has been moved is a bit hard to say. ‘We get that question a lot. The games and flow are largely the same. However, we have made some minor changes and the setting in the new building is completely different and has become so incredibly unique and cool, that we leave the answer to that question to the people themselves. We won’t recommend playing again, after all, you play an escaperoom only once, but if you’re curious, or it’s been a while, of course it’s certainly possible’.
Currently, guests are welcomed in a temporary reception area. Early next year, the front of the building containing the final reception area will also be ready. At this location, the plan is to add at least one more escaperoom in the future.
Room ‘1627’ won several awards in the past and is in the top 20 in the Benelux.
